If you have interest in spiritual things, but don't know exactly what it's all about, read this explanation about having a relationship with God. LEADERSHIP: The congregation has good representation of the various stages of life; single adults, newly married couples, couples with kids, couples with teenagers, empty nesters, and retirees. Pastor Jim Welty grew up in a Christian home in Ohio.
His 
parents worked in a rescue mission in Lima, Ohio. Stephanie's father
was a pastor in New Jersey. They met at Nyack College in New York. Following graduation they were married.
Pastor Welty was ordained to the ministry in 1983, and then went to seminary.
Following seminary the Welty's moved to Connecticut and started the Community Chapel.
They have two daughters Abby and Emma who were both born in Connecticut and
have become fine young women.
