PROGRAMS FOR
ALL AGES:
-
Worship Our worship of God
incorporates both traditional hymns and contemporary choruses,
prayer, and a message from our pastor. We don't employ a standard
liturgy but continue to bring an appropriate amount of awe of God
into our worship. Please join us in worship of God on Sundays
starting 9:30am (nursery and child care are provided.) A time for
developing friendships follows the worship and then Sunday School is held
from 11am-noon. Held at Pomperaug
High School.
-
Sunday School Christian education
classes grouped by age are held each Sunday (except in the summer).
Content is always biblically based. Multiple adult studies are
offered that may be topical such as "The Holiness of God"
or a Bible-based such as a full Bible survey. Jr. High Sunday
School is held for students in 5th through7th grades to learn the
basic lessons of the Bible in fun and active ways. Sr. High
Sunday School is intended for students in 8th through 12th grades to
continue to build a firm foundation in the scriptures through their
lessons. All Sunday School classes are held at Pomperaug
High School.

Seasonal
The Community
Chapel contributes to the community in several other ways during
certain times of the year. For example, January is the
Community Chapel's month to contribute to the Southbury Food
Bank. During the Christmas season, we have often participated
in distributing gifts to needy families, and sponsored the Angel
Tree program for giving children of prison inmates gifts. The
youth have also put on a Christmas play for musical to celebrate the
season.
